Step by Step Fall Skincare Routine With Clarisonic

To me, skincare is one of the most important things on the planet. Your skin is your biggest organ, and it deserves all of the love and pampering that it can get. For as long as I can remember, I have been a victim of terrible hormonal acne. I kid you not, it has been so bad that I have taken 5 rounds of Accutane and have not seen lasting results from it! There has been only one thing that has helped me manage my crazy skin conditions, and that is my Clarisonic. I have used one every day for about 2 years now, and I am not kidding when I say it has changed my life. Now, I only get the occasional pimple instead of a full-fledged war zone.

I had the original Clarisonic when they first came out, so when Clarisonic sent me their Clarisonic Mia 1 to test, I was thrilled. I had been looking for a no-frills skincare system, and with only one speed setting that is suitable for all skin types, the Mia 1 is just that. If you're wondering how Clarisonic technology works, here's an explanation from the brand itself:

The bristles of a Clarisonic cleansing brush head move back and forth, or "oscillate", gently flexing the skin and flushing water and cleanser into pores. This sonic cleansing process removes the dirt, oil and debris that ages your skin and causes breakouts. Because Clarisonic facial cleansing devices don't exfoliate – a common myth! – Clarisonic is gentle enough for twice-daily use, even on the most sensitive skin.

I am so glad that Clarisonic is as gentle as it claims to be, because even though my skin is acne prone, it is also very delicate and sensitive from so many years of taking Accutane. After testing the Clarisonic Mia 1 for a week along with the Pore and Blemish Gel Cleanser and the Radiance Brush Head, I have declared it my new fall skincare routine! I am glowing, and I cannot recommend the products enough. My skin is supple and smooth, and the texture of it has improved tremendously. I love that Clarisonic is affordable for anyone–– they offer monthly payment plans which means anyone can get clear skin. You can also get 15% off here.

  1. I've been having a lot of breakouts in college and can't seem to find anything that works - I might have to give the Clarisonic a try!
